Lilly Zhao was born in Beijing, China, and as an only child in an artist family, she derived great joy from creating artwork and presenting her drawings to loved ones. Lilly’s father was an art history professor of Art and Design apartment in Beijing Normal University and her uncle is a famous oil painting artist in China. They both have been engaged in painting all their lives and they inspire Lilly’s creativity.

 

Although Lilly pursued a career in software engineering, her passion for painting never faded away, especially to oil painting. Lilly has loved oil painting since she was a little girl. She paints a variety of subjects, as long as the subject matter can awaken her inner love for life. For many years, while working as a software engineer, Lilly painted as a hobby. However, 8 years ago, she finally decided to be an artist. She paints as she pleases, and her years of painting experience enable her to accurately express her inner feelings.
